API Upgrades: 1st class, 350 gsm & More...

The Stannp.com Tech team have been at it again, adding new features for our API users!

This article is a guide for anyone using Stannp.com's API who wants to automate sending 1st class campaigns, 350gsm card stock, inserts or other custom features.

If you would like to know more about using our API please go to our API documentation pages for more details.

1st Class Send

You can now send API requests marked for first class posting, using our simple syntax with the add on code “FIRST_CLASS”.

For more info on how to use add on codes please refer to the letters page of our API documentation.

Please note, first class posting has an additional cost. All of our pricing information can be found on our pricing page; at the time of updating (February 2024) upgrading to 1st class postage costs an additional 55p per item over our standard 2nd class service.

350gsm Stock

You can now upgrade your card stock on API requests to 350gsm, also using our simple add on code syntax, with the code “STOCK_350_UNCOATED”.

For more info on how to use add on codes please refer to the letters page of our API documentation.

Please note, 350gsm stock has an additional cost. All of our pricing information can be found on our pricing page.

Inserts & Custom Features

If you would like to run API campaigns that include an insert, custom envelope or other customisation that is not available as a standard feature of our platform, please get in touch with your account manager.

Through your account manager, our Tech team will build a custom ‘add on code’ specifically for you, that triggers the custom feature you want to add to your campaign.

You can then use the code we provide you with in our add on code syntax to trigger your insert when you send an API request, for example ‘MYNAME_INSERT’ or ‘MY_ENVELOPE’ etc.

Please note; these custom codes won’t work unless we have worked with you and provided you with a specific code! If you send an unrecognised add on code our API won’t trigger any custom action, but your campaign may still be charged for and sent as a standard item.
